Boxers, Ballerinas and Bible Stories “ are a suite of drawings wherein one model plays a series of interactive roles with his or her self. Contemporary graphic novels and the Pop culture network series of the 1960s inspire the Boxers. The images of blood splatter replacing the graphics of POW! , WHACK! , and BAM!

 

Bible Stories are morphed from the Boxers as the idea comes from viewing Egyptian tomb paintings, the graphic stories of their times, and the violence that is constant in most religious histories.

 

Ballerinas draw their inspiration from 19^th Century French drawings of dancers and clowns during periods of non-performance as well as exploring the tradition of transvestitism in comedy.
